EV 964

With the automotive industry seemingly shifting at a rapid rate toward an electric future, aftermarket builders such as Everrati Automotive Limited have taken the initiative to retrofit classic vehicles with modern EV powertrains. Founded in 2019, Everrati has been working on that very mission, and they've now unveiled their cream of the crop: the EV 964 Porsche 911.

Wide Body Kit

On the outside, the Everrati Signature 911 looks like a moderately modified 964. The most prominent exterior feature added by the builder is the wide body kit. When it comes to the underpinnings, though, most of what the donor 964 came with has been updated. Most importantly, of course, is the presence of an electric motor in the place of the flat-six at the back.

Carbon Fiber Additions

The drastic restomod build starts out by stripping the 964 chassis down to the bare bones. From there, the wide-body carbon fiber kit is added on. Other carbon elements include the front and rear bumper covers, the doors, and the roof (only if there is no sunroof). The carbon doors are also reinforced with the help of high-strength steel.

Electric Motor Replacing the Flat-6

The electric powertrain is reportedly capable of producing 500 horsepower and 369 lb-ft of torque. Not earth-shattering numbers by any stretch, but certainly more than what the original 964s were capable of. Everrati claims the EV 911 will have a 0-60 MPH acceleration of under 4 seconds and an approximate driving range of "150+ miles."

Modern Performance

The restomod receives other performance upgrades as well. Much of the suspension has been modernized, though the aluminum rear trailing suspension arms remain. Adaptive dampers are available as an option. The dynamic feel of the car has been fine-tuned with the help of world champion racing driver Tim Harvey.

Price of Admission

The vehicle, which is still in its final stages of testing, is designed to retain the dynamics and driving feel of the original. Pricing for these creations starts at £250,000 or approximately $354,000 at current exchange rates. And that does not include the donor vehicle. Everrati Automotive Limited expects to begin delivering the Signature 911 to customers in late 2021.
