Here's How Zero Labs Converts Old Broncos To EVs
These Zero Labs Ford Bronco EV conversions are stunning pieces of craftsmanship.
Best of all Worlds
Converting classic vehicles to electric power is all the rage these days, with many outfits scrambling to gain a foothold in this fast-growing market. Many of these types of builds reside on the higher end, though in all fairness, offer plenty for their lofty price tags. That's certainly true of Zero Labs and its Ford Bronco EV conversions, which look like finely polished pieces of jewelry, yet offer the best of all worlds in terms of fit, finish, timeless style, and modern tech.

Total Swap
Rather than just swap in an electric powertrain like most outfits out there, Zero Labs takes a far different approach by replacing the entire chassis with its own skateboard platform equipped with a pair of electric motors - one at each end - and a 100 kWh battery pack. The numbers, as one might imagine, are impressive - 600 horsepower and 235 miles of range.

Altered Wheelbase
However, the powertrain isn't the only thing that this chassis brings to the table - it's also equipped with a fully independent suspension, Brembo brakes, and rack and pinion steering. Much like large OEMs, Zero Labs can alter the skateboard's platform as well, enabling it to fit underneath different types of vehicles.

Different Types of Builds
However, it's the customers that choose just how far they want to go with this vintage Bronco EV conversion. Zero Labs can do everything from simple electric swaps to a full-blown high-end restomod and pretty much everything in between. Simple conversions only take around three months to compete, while more extensive jobs can span nine months or more.

Big Money
No matter which way one chooses to go, the average cost people plunk down for a Zero Labs Bronco is around $360k, which is obviously a lot of coin. But the customization options here are virtually endless, with premium features like carbon fiber bodywork and fine interior materials available for purchase.

Long Wait
As one might imagine, the Zero Labs Bronco EV conversion is a quick and capable machine, not to mention one that'll likely be far easier to maintain than an ICE version. However, aside from being expensive, there's one more problem - it's also in high demand, as the company currently has a 75,000 vehicle-long waitlist. But for those with the means and the patience, it certainly looks to be worth it.
